Overview

Mehrdad Nourani received his B. Sc. & M. Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering from University of Tehran, Tehran, Iran and his Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, Ohio. He is currently a Professor of Electrical Engineering at The University of Texas at Dallas. He is a co-founder of the Quality of Life Technology (QoLT) laboratory in UT Dallas where he conducts an interdisciplinary research lab focused on developing innovative technology and systems that improve people's quality of life.

Professor Nourani has published over 200 papers in journals and refereed conference proceedings. Dr. Nourani is a recipient of multiple awards from Clark Foundation Research Initiation Grant, National Science Foundation Career, Cisco Systems Inc. and Semiconductor Research Corporation. His current research interests include fault-tolerant architectures, system-on-chip testing, design for reliability and special-purpose IC/system design for biomedical/biological applications.
