OVERVIEW
Quality of Life Technology Laboratory’s mission is to explore technological advancements, to develop innovative methods, and to design intelligent systems for personalized health care, vital signs monitoring and disease prevention. Teaching and training students to become creative professionals in engineering innovations for health care field is an integral part of our strategy. We foster methodologies, which in collaboration with other educational, research, medical, and industrial institutions, will lead to commercial products for public use.
Quality of Life Technology Laboratory’s vision is to be a leading academic center recognized for multidisciplinary engineering education, research and development aimed at improving Quality of Life of people through technological advancements, innovations, and intelligent system designs.

Lakshman Tamil is a professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering in Erik Jonsson School of Engineering & Computer Science, at The University of Texas at Dallas.
