Issa M.S. Panahi received Ph.D degree in electrical engineering from the University of Colorado at Boulder, Boulder, Colorado. Dr. Panahi worked in industry and research centers for 18 years before joining the University of Texas at Dallas (UTD) in 2001 where he is now a Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering and also an Affiliate Professor of the Bioengineering Departments.

Issa M.S. Panahi (Senior Member of IEEE) is a Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering and also an Affiliate Professor of Bioengineering at UTD. His research interest is in statistical signal processing with emphasis on audio/ acoustics/speech signal processing, hearing aids, and noise cancellation for biomedical applications in academia

RESEARCH INTEREST

Digital Signal Processing with emphasis on acoustics for Biomedical applications: MIMO Single and multi-dimensional digital filtering, noise cancellation and active noise control, signal detection and separation, parameter & spectral estimation, system identification methods, adaptive signal processing.
