OVERVIEW
In 1989, he joined the faculty of the Erik Jonsson School of Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Texas at Dallas, where he is currently the Vice Dean and Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering. From 2017-2019, he served as the Interim Dean of the Jonsson School. He co-directs research activities within the Renewable Energy and Vehicular Technology (REVT) and the Integrated Design, Engineering, and Algorithmics (IDEA) Labs. His current research interests include power electronics, design of energy efficient circuits and systems, and application-specific architectures. He has published several journal and conference publications and has coauthored a book in these areas. He is a Fellow of the IEEE, a member of the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, Engineering Honor Society of Tau Beta Pi, and a Licensed Professional Engineering in the State of Texas.
