Jung Lee

Overview

Dr. Lee has taught at Southern University, Baton Rouge, LA as a tenured associate Professor of Mathematics. In 2009 she joined the faculty at The University of Texas at Dallas.

Dr. Lee’s research interests are probability, statistics, and math education. In math education she has heavily involved on free math tutoring for underprivileged students who lack the educational opportunities and resources. She is co-founder of Intellichoice which is a nonprofit organization based in Dallas. The mission of Intellichoice is to develop an interest in mathematics, increase college readiness, and promote a successful future career for K-12th grade disadvantaged students.

 

She was honored with Ambassador of Diversity Award for her effort and contributions in promoting diversity in the community from the Office of Diversity and Community Engagement at The University of Texas at Dallas in 2011.   Intellichoice received Community Hero Award from Tech Titans in 2015 and IEEE EAB Meritorious Achievement Award in informal STEM education in 2017.
