OVERVIEW
Dr. Fahimi, Distinguished Chair of Engineering, is an internationally known expert and research leader on electric machines and drives. He is the recipient of many awards among which IEEE Richard M. Bass young power electronics investigator award, IEEE Cyril Veinott Electromechanical energy conversion award, SAE Ralph Teetor Educational award, Fulbright scholarship, and DAAD scholarship stand out. Dr. Fahimi holds 23 US Patents with five more pending and co-author of over 400 scientific articles. He is a Fellow of IEEE for his contributions to modeling of adjustable speed AC motor drives.
