Centered in the heart of the Telecom Corridor, one of the brightest economic regions in the world, the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering consistently partners with industry leaders and renowned businesses.
Related industries, government sectors, and the surrounding DFW community all play a large role in shaping the department and benefitting from the determined students within it.
Industry leaders play a large role in our students’ success and education. Through partnerships with surrounding industries, the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering has established the senior capstone project, Senior Design, as one of the most formative classes in a student’s undergraduate career. Whether it’s becoming a corporate mentor or sponsoring a project, industries can find their fit at UTD.
States and the federal government have long provided substantial funding for specific research through higher education. The Office of Sponsored Projects provides information regarding various external research funding opportunities, provides assistance to faculty and staff in obtaining and managing sponsored awards, and assures proper stewardship of those resources.
Join forces with UTDesign and become a corporate sponsor! The corporate sponsor owns 100% of the project results, forms relationships with current ECE seniors and other industry partners, and opens doors for potential new employees.
The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering has paved the way for many of the brightest and influential minds in technology and research today. As we shape the future of technology, we need chairs and professorships to attract the best and brightest, we need graduate fellowships and undergraduate scholarships to remain competitive, and we need finances to maintain our world-class facilities and equipment.
With your support, we can continue to help fuel this amazing new world of technology.
