OVERVIEW
Dr. Kaveh Shamsi joined the ECE department at UTD in 2020. He received the B.S. degree in electrical engineering from the Sharif University of Technology, Tehran, Iran, in 2014, the M.S. degree in computer engineering from the University of Central Florida, Orlando, US in 2017. He received a Ph.D. degree in electrical and computer engineering at the University of Florida, Gainesville, US, under the supervision of Dr. Yier Jin. His research focuses on formal methods, algorithms in hardware security, and analog and digital circuit design. He is the recipient of the HOST’17 best paper award and the GLSVLSI’18 best paper candidate and the DATE’19 best paper candidate.
RESEARCH INTEREST
IP protection through circuit obfuscation, side-channel-resilient hardware design, computer-aided-design (CAD) for trustworthy hardware, CMOS and beyond-CMOS circuit design.
