Matthew Gardner

Texas Instruments Early Career Fellow in Electrical and Computer Engineering


PhD in Electrical Engineering from Texas A&M University in 2019; BS in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Baylor University in 2014


Prof. Gardner joined UTD as an assistant professor in August 2020. His primary research is in the field of electric powertrains. In particular, he researches the design, control, and diagnostics of electric machines, drives, and magnetic gears.
